Why can I not pay directly?

If the carer is paid directly, our industry-leading insurance is not in place, which means any accidents or incidents with your dog will not be covered. You also won’t have the added safety of the holding of payment until you return & are satisfied with the service provided, and in the case of any issues, we won’t be able to step in and help.

Our carers are not allowed to ask for cash direct - if any of them suggest taking money directly, this could put your dog at risk if (for example) emergency vet care is required. We’d like you to let us know if any of our carers suggest being paid directly with cash.

By using Tailster's simple online payments, you also get the benefit of our customer service and us sitting in the middle to help things along - e.g. if you can’t get hold of your carer, or have further questions.
